  • Bookings and other queries are communicated over DMs. Please allow some time for replies, or kindly bump your message for quicker response.

    New York clients will make deposits on ellietattie.com (here) as instructed over DMs.

  • Pricing
    I generally work within a $250-$290/hr range, with a minimum of 2 hours.
    Most name seal tattoos take 2-2.5 hours.
    *Guest spot prices may defer*

    Deposit
    A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to book an appointment. This goes towards the final price of your tattoo.



    If you need to reschedule/cancel an appointment please reach out at least 10 working days before your scheduled booking. Any reschedules, a new deposit is required.


  • Custom
    Name Seal tattoos are the only custom work I do.

    After you have sent me your character & visual references, 2-3 options will be drawn up for your appointment day, tweaks and changes will be made in person.

    Please note that designs will not be sent over text/dm prior to the appointment, this prevents forgery cases and protects the artist, your understanding is appreciated.

    Flash Design
    All flash designs posted on IG are repeatable (unless retired).

    Happy to make small tweaks to personalize them for each client, please let the artist know ahead of time.

  • Size
    Most name seals posted range from size 1-2 inches

    *please note that contrary to popular belief, the smaller the tattoo does not always mean it is ‘easier’ many times it actually gets more complicated the smaller the tattoo gets, hence taking more time to tattoo.

    Placement
    All placement ideas are welcomed. The artist will provide advice on best placements that allow for the tattoo’s healing & flow etc.
    The final decision still is decided by the client.

  • Please let the artist know at least 10 days before the appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule our appointment so that the time slot could be offered to someone else.

    One free reschedule is allowed, which will carry over your original deposit. A second reschedule will require you to book a new appointment and pay a new deposit.

    No-shows will be blocked 😢

  • Please come alone to the appointment, this ensures a calm and quiet environment for the session (if you would like to bring a friend/companion, please let the artist know ahead of time).

    Feel free to bring your source of quiet entertainment (book, music with headphones etc)

    Also feel free to bring along food/snacks/drinks if you need.

    • No alcohol / drugs for 24 hours before the tattoo appointment

    • Keep area of skin generally moisturized before the appointment

    • Eat food and stay hydrated before coming to your tattoo appointment


  • A tattoo aftercare kit will be gifted to you after your tattoo 😘

    24 - 48 Hours After Tattoo

    • Remove saniderm / cling wrap under warm running water, peel off slowly and gently without tugging your skin

    • Tattoo might be oozy / bloody (that is completely normal, your tattoo is just healing)

    • Clean tattoo gently with water / anti bacterial soap and pat dry

    2 Weeks After Tattoo

    Keep tattoo clean and dry at all times

    • If it itches:
      apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel

    • To keep it moisturized:
      Apply a thin layer of healing ointment

    Please do not
    ✖️baths / soaks / swims / massages / beach
    ✖️reapply your own saniderm / second skin
    ✖️excessive sun exposure
    ✖️tight clothing that rub against the tattoo
    ✖️scratching


    1 Month After Tattoo

    • Your tattoo is fully healed now, well done!

    • To keep the longevity of a tattoo, keep it out of the sun or use sunscreen daily.

  • I specialize in handpoke tattoos– this method allows for both the artist and the client to tap into a meditative state that is slow and quiet. The healed results of a handpoked name seal tattoo also perfectly mimics that of a real name seal. PS- it does not hurt more than a machine tattoo 🤗

    The hand-poking is a traditional and simplistic method that dates back to around 400BC. It is basically the act of using just a needle and ink to slowly place a series of dots in the skin to form lines. This method allows for quicker healing time due to the low trauma compared to machine tattoos.

    Please note this method can take longer than machine therefore smaller tattoos are suited for this technique. It can also produce a slightly different aesthetic to machine, as it is more organic and handmade.


  • Because red ink is heavily used in my works– I have tried and tested many ink brands and landed with Intenze and Dynamic (both of which are vegan and never tested on animals) they have proven to heal well.

    While I do not charge more for colored designs, please note that any colored ink other than black usually takes more time to tattoo.

  • Each tattoo appointment comes with 1 complimentary touch up. Tattoo needs to be fully healed (at least 1-2months).

    Please dm with a latest healed photo to book an appointment.
